Home

She carries the shadow of the moon on her back,
blue eyes open to the whispering sound of pine.
She’s a lonely tree standing tall and slightly
bent as she waits for a sudden cloud burst of
hail stinging her sorrowful soul.
Her arms open wide to bring in the pure scent
of all that once was.
All that she wants for us in this vast blue galaxy
that we've wandered into, torn and divided until
there's nothing left to save, nothing left to create,
and no one to house the heart.

She cries out, home, home, home.

She carries the shadow of hope on her back,
she wants to believe in something again;
Of innocence, of skies filled with magical
balloon clouds with images of wild horses
galloping all the way to the horizon and over
the ocean, the mountains, across the flatlands
and the desert laden with wild flowers.
Riding across the universe she surrenders her
hope to the moon. Stars swirl 'round her head,
she's laughing her heart's beating wildly.

In between the beats...pauses a woman and her horse.
